Surreality (unfinished)

Puffy white clouds,
Cotton candy tufts
Of epiphany, suspended
So surreal in an expansive, stark,
Azure gradient of soulful emotion.

The horizon is wide and deep,
A seemingly endless supply of enchantment,
Giving the glimpse of eternal.

Yet my twinkling toes touch the path that lies before me,
Razor thin- a real life highwire, held taught by the teeth of
The whimsically long-necked creatures.

I raise my stiffened right arm to shoulder height,
While in the periphery rest mountains, big and small,
Yet impractical in scale.
